Big Whiskey’s Signs Three-Store Deal to Grow in South Florida

Big Whiskey’s American Restaurant and Bar signed a three-store deal with Whiskey’s Florida LLC, a subsidiary of Nosnaws Corporation in February of 2022, and the South Florida locations are finally coming to life. This fall, Davie residents can enjoy Boom Boom Shrimp Tacos and sip on a classic Big Whiskey’s Smoked Old-Fashioned, right in their backyard.

Steve Swanson, president of Nosnaws says of the deal, “We can’t wait for guests to come in and try the food and have a drink at Big Whiskey’s signature bar. This is going to become a mainstay of the Davie community.” Swanson and his team at Nosnaws are restaurant veterans. Nosnaws owns and operates several other concepts in the area, including an IHOP franchise with eight locations.

Demolition of the space at Sawgrass Mills Mall has begun, and the 6,300 sq ft space is being renovated to better fit the Big Whiskey’s brand. The location will feature a large private dining space, a large open floor plan with about 230 seats and a bar area, and outdoor seating.

Leadership at the Davie, FL location has started scheduling staff training, which will be led by managers from Big Whiskey’s headquarters in Ozark, MO. The store will employ approximately 60 people, some of whom have already been hired.

Founder and Co-CEO Paul Sundy expressed his excitement for the deal by saying, “We’ve had a lot of interest in Florida for many years and there continues to be great opportunity in the state. We are thrilled about this national expansion of the Big Whiskey’s brand and very excited to see these three stores thrive in the market. It has been such a pleasure working with Steve Swanson and his team—what a top-notch group with all the experience necessary to continue their success.”
